Directions:Answer the following four (4) essay questions. Each answer is worth twenty-five (25) points. Read each question CAREFULLY before answering. Remember to FULLY EXPLAIN your answer and to support your answer with facts.
Identify five athletes who you believe would be effective product-specific endorsers. Select a product for each athlete to endorse and explain why that person would be an effective endorser for that product. In your answer be sure to explain what attributes of the athlete match the attributes of the product. You cannot identify athletes and the products they currently or have previously endorsed as part of your answer (Example = you cant use Michael Jordan and Nike).
Create an advertisement and an in-game promotion for a professional sport team. Direct the advertisement at a particular segment in terms of placement and message. For the in-game promotion, identify who will be affected by the promotion in terms of being motivated to attend. Be sure to include which sport team you are using, what segment you are targeting, and why you chose to use that team to match the segment.
The marketing director for the WNBA is looking to gain a larger basketball market share against other basketball rivals such as the NBA, NCAA, and European Basketball leagues. The WNBA is still relatively new to the marketplace, so the brand is not as well known as the previous ones mentioned. The WNBA thinks that their product is positioned as such because people do not view them as of the same quality as the NBA, NCAA, or European Basketball leagues. The WNBA wants to increase brand awareness, sales, market share, and wants fans to attend WNBA games so they can see that the WNBA brand of basketball is better than most people imagine. Develop two sponsorship packages (one sponsorship package for the WNBA league and one sponsorship package for a current WNBA team). You may not use current WNBA or WNBA team sponsors/sponsorship packages in your answer. Remember to write about ALL aspects of the sponsorship package, do thorough research, and be conscious of your competition when developing the sponsorship packages.
Analyze a sport facility that you know well in terms of accessibility, flow, drawing radius, parking, aesthetics, design & layout, security, and amenities. If you were in charge, how would you improve each of these areas? Be sure to explain in detail the facility you are analyzing.
